What Is It Prescribed For?
- •Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- •Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (a type of fast-growing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that develops in lymph nodes, bones, soft tissues, lungs, liver, and skin)
- •Certain types of peripheral T-cell lymphomas
How Is It Given?
It is given as an infusion into a vein (intravenous; IV) over 30 minutes, every 2 – 3 weeks.
What Are Common Side Effects?
You may face some of these side effects:
- •Low blood count
- •Diarrhea
- •Weakness, numbness, and pain usually in the hands and feet
- •Skin rash, itching
- •Nausea and vomiting
Your doctor can prescribe medication to control these side effects. Brentuximab may also cause other side effects. If you face any unusual or serious problems, inform your doctor immediately.
